These Ticket Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the purchase, use, and issuance of tickets for ground transport services booked via the intercity.ng platform operated by IntercityNG (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By purchasing or using a ticket, you (“Passenger,” “User”) agree to be bound by these Terms and any subsequent amendments.

1. Ticket Validity

1.1 Tickets are issued exclusively for the named Passenger and are non-transferable.

1.2 Tickets are valid only for the date, time, and vehicle specified at the time of purchase.

1.3 Tickets become valid upon full payment confirmation.

1.4 Duplicate, forged, or altered tickets will be refused and may result in legal action.

2. Cancellation and Refunds

2.1 Ticket cancellations and refunds are subject to the following conditions and any additional terms stipulated by the respective Service Provider.

2.2 Refund Requests:

  • Requests submitted more than 48 hours before scheduled departure qualify for a full refund to the Passenger’s IntercityNG wallet, less a 5% processing fee if refund is to a bank account.
  • Refunds to bank accounts incur a non-refundable 5% processing fee.
  • Requests between 12 and 48 hours before departure are eligible for a 50% refund to the Passenger’s IntercityNG wallet, less a 5% processing fee if refund is paid to a bank account.
  • Refunds will not be issued for cancellations made less than 12 hours before scheduled departure.

2.3 Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within five (5) working days of approval.

2.4 IntercityNG reserves the right to reject any refund request that does not comply with these Terms or is deemed fraudulent.

2.5 IntercityNG may, at its sole discretion, cancel trips and issue full refunds (excluding any processing fees) if it is determined that operational issues or the inability of the Service Provider to fulfill the booked service may arise.

3. Travel Arrangement Fee

3.1 IntercityNG may charge a non-refundable travel arrangement fee (also known as a travel agent fee) for facilitating ticket purchases and travel arrangements on behalf of the Service Provider.

3.2 This fee is distinct from the ticket fare and is non-refundable, even in cases where a full refund for the ticket fare is granted.

3.3 The travel arrangement fee will be clearly disclosed at the point of purchase.

4. Baggage Policy

4.1 Each Passenger is permitted to carry one small personal item (e.g., handbag or backpack) that can be kept within the passenger’s seat area and must not inconvenience other Passengers or be stored in the vehicle’s luggage compartment.

4.2 Additional baggage is subject to the Service Provider’s baggage policies, fees, and restrictions.

4.3 Passengers are advised to verify the baggage policies of their chosen Service Provider prior to travel.

5. Passenger Conduct and Safety

5.1 Passengers must conduct themselves in a respectful and safe manner at all times.

5.2 IntercityNG and partner Service Providers reserve the right to refuse service or remove any Passenger exhibiting disruptive, illegal, or unsafe behavior.

5.3 Passengers are responsible for compliance with all safety instructions provided during the journey.

6. Schedule Changes and Delays

6.1 Timetables and schedules are subject to change due to operational, safety, or other reasons beyond our control.

6.2 IntercityNG will endeavor to notify Passengers promptly of any schedule changes but will not be liable for missed connections or other consequential losses resulting from delays or changes.

7. Seat Reservations

7.1 Seat assignments may be requested but are not guaranteed and may be altered to meet operational requirements.

7.2 Early arrival is recommended to maximize chances of preferred seating.

8. Travel Documentation

8.1 Passengers are solely responsible for possessing valid identification and any travel permits required for their journey.

8.2 IntercityNG assumes no liability for denial of boarding or other consequences arising from failure to produce valid travel documents.

9. Special Assistance and Requests

9.1 Passengers requiring special assistance or accommodations, including those with disabilities, should notify IntercityNG in advance.

9.2 While reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate such requests, IntercityNG does not guarantee their fulfillment and disclaims liability for any inability to do so.

10. Changes to Terms

IntercityNG reserves the right to update or modify these Ticket Terms & Conditions at its sole discretion. Continued use of the intercity.ng platform or ticket purchases after changes indicates acceptance of the revised Terms. Passengers are responsible for regularly reviewing these Terms.
